How our pricing works

Why the prices are what they are, and how every detail works. If you just want the numbers, they are on the Pricing page. Updated September 19, 2026.

Why there are two prices

You pay once for making your site, and a little each month for keeping it right.

The usual way to get a website is to pay a designer for a custom one. That costs thousands of dollars, takes months, and when your hours change a year later, the designer has moved on. The do-it-yourself tools are cheaper, but there is more to learn than the ads let on, and most owners get halfway and stop.

We did the design work once. A shop like yours needs the same short list on its site: what you do, where you are, when you are open, what it costs, how to reach you, a few good photos. We built the pages for that list, made them good, and you choose the layout, the colors, and the fonts. The one-time price pays for putting your business into them: your words, your prices, your photos, your web address, and the rounds of changes until it is right. That is why it can start at $500 instead of thousands.

Monthly care replaces three other bills. The hosting you would pay a platform to keep the site online. The designer you would pay each time the hours or the prices change. And the yearly renewal of your web address, which we handle and pass through at what it costs. Care is priced by how often you change your site, from $50 a month for a site that mostly stays the same to $1,000 for one that changes nearly every day.

Every site carries a care plan. Without one, nobody is keeping it online, and a site nobody looks after is how a shop ends up with the wrong hours on Google. Basic care at $50 is the floor, and for many shops it is enough.

The short version

  • A one-time price for your website: $500, $2,500, $3,500 or $5,000, by package.
  • Half to start. The rest when you approve the finished site, or spread over your first five monthly bills at no extra charge.
  • Monthly care after your site is live, $50 to $1,000 a month by how many updates you want. Every site has a plan; Basic is the floor.
  • Updates past your plan are $50 each. A new page is $500. A new look is $500. Moving up a package costs the difference.
  • Your web address renews once a year at what the registrar charges us, as its own line on your bill.
  • Send us a business that becomes a client and one month of care is on us.

Looking is free

Pick a layout, colors, and fonts on the Styles page and watch a sample site change as you go. Add a package and a care plan together on the Pricing page. Tell us about your business on the project form. None of that costs anything, and we do not ask for a card.

After the form you get a written quote: the one-time price, when it is due, the care plan you chose, and a timeline. Work starts when you approve the quote and pay the deposit, not before.

The one-time price

Four packages. Each one includes everything in the package before it.

The four packages: price, pages, and rounds of changes
PackageOne-time pricePagesRounds of changes
StarterOne-time price$500Pages1Rounds of changes1
StandardOne-time price$2,500Pages2–4Rounds of changes2
PlusOne-time price$3,500Pages4–5Rounds of changes3
DeluxeOne-time price$5,000Pages6+Rounds of changes4

Starter is one page in the layout you picked, with your details in it: what you do, where you are, when you are open, how to reach you, and your web address set up and live. Standard adds more pages, a price list page, and a contact form that reaches your email. Plus adds a photo gallery and help getting found on Google. Deluxe adds a common questions page, customer reviews on the site, extra help getting found on Google, and email at your own web address. The full comparison is on the Pricing page.

Why Standard costs so much more than Starter

The Starter is the fastest thing we make. The page is already designed; we put your business into it. It is priced to be an easy yes, and for a shop that needs its hours and phone number to show up right, it is plenty. Standard is where the hours of work begin: several pages written for your business, a price list built from yours, a form wired to your inbox, and two rounds of changes instead of one. Each package after that adds pieces that take real time to do well.

Rounds of changes

A round is one list of changes, sent all at once, after you see the private preview of your site. Starter includes one round, Standard two, Plus three, Deluxe four. If you need another round, each change in it is $50, the same as an update after your site is live. A page beyond what your package includes is $500.

Paying the one-time price

Half to start, when you approve the quote. The rest when you approve the finished site, before it goes live. Or, if you would rather, spread the rest over your first five monthly bills at no extra charge. Your site goes live at the same time either way.

What each package costs to start, at approval, or over five months
PackageTo startThe rest, at approvalOr, for five months
Starter, $500To start$250The rest, at approval$250Or, for five months$50 a month
Standard, $2,500To start$1,250The rest, at approval$1,250Or, for five months$250 a month
Plus, $3,500To start$1,750The rest, at approval$1,750Or, for five months$350 a month
Deluxe, $5,000To start$2,500The rest, at approval$2,500Or, for five months$500 a month

Paying over time adds nothing to the price and does not tie you to anything past those five payments. You can pay the rest off early whenever you like. A missed payment is handled the same way as a missed care payment, explained below.

Monthly care

Care starts the day your site goes live. Every plan keeps your site online, fixes anything on it that stops working at no charge, counts your visitors, renews your web address each year, puts your requests ahead of new projects, and gets your updates done within two business days. The plans differ in one thing: how many updates a month are included.

What counts as an update

A change to what is already on your site: new hours, new prices, a swapped photo, reworded text, this month's special. Ask from your account page or by email, and it is done within two business days. Past what your plan includes, updates are $50 each. Updates you do not use in a month do not carry into the next. A new page or a new look is not an update; those are priced below.

Why the bigger plans cost less per update

Basic care with five updates in a month comes to $300. Standard care includes five for $250. On Plus each update works out to about $42, and on Premier about $33. The more your site changes, the less each change costs, because a site we touch every week is one we already know inside out.

Visitor reports

Every plan shows you, in your account, how many people visited, how many visits that was, and which pages they looked at. Standard care and up also shows how this month compares with last, what visitors did (tapped to call, asked for directions, sent a message), where they came from, when they visit, who is on the site right now, and lets you download all of it.

Changing plans

Move up or down any month; the change takes effect on your next bill. Basic is the floor, because every site needs someone keeping it online. Your price does not change without 30 days' notice in writing.

Your web address

We register it, we renew it, and we bill you the registrar's price once a year as its own line, so you can see it is not marked up. For a .com that has been a little over ten dollars a year.

Adding to your site later

The prices for the things people ask for most are fixed, so you can plan.

  • A new page: $500. The same price as the Starter, which is one page.
  • A new look: $500. A different layout from the Styles page, or new colors and fonts, with everything you have carried over.
  • Moving up a package: the difference. Standard to Plus is $1,000 and adds the photo gallery and help getting found on Google. Standard to Deluxe is $2,500. Plus to Deluxe is $1,500. Each comes with one round of changes on the new pieces.

Anything not on this list gets a written price before we start, never after.

If a payment is missed, or you want to leave

A missed payment

If a monthly payment does not go through, the card is tried again and you get a note from us. If it is still unpaid after seven days, your site shows a simple holding page until the account is paid up. Nothing is deleted. The day you catch up, your site is back as it was.

Leaving

Give us 30 days' notice. Your words and your photos are yours. Your web address is registered in our name while we look after your site; ask within 60 days of leaving and we move it to you for what the transfer costs. After that it stays with us, so ask early.

If we are late

Your quote carries a timeline. If we miss it by more than two weeks, you are owed part of your deposit back for the work not yet delivered. That goes both ways in the agreement, on purpose.

The agreement you sign says all of this in full. This page is the plain-words version, and if the two ever disagree, the agreement is the one that counts.

Send us a business

When a business you send us becomes a client, you get one month of their care plan as a credit on your next bill, once their deposit clears. Send us a shop that picks Standard care and your next bill is $250 lighter. Credits stack, and a credit bigger than one bill carries over to the next.
